Family centre
As a recognized family center, we offer care, education, counseling and support for the whole family. Our goals are, among other things, the strengthening of the parenting skills of parents and a good compatibility of family and career. With our work in the family center we combine the goal to be the contact person for questions, concerns and information around the topics of family, education and upbringing.
We would like to give families the chance to participate in social life in their living space and to have no inhibitions about accepting help, especially in situations of stress, conflict or crisis.
Our professional assistance at the Center for Families is intended to strengthen parents in their parenting skills. In addition to our offers of help, we support the educational and relational competence of parents through information events and various other offers.
Our goals:
- the holistic support of children, their healthy development and the development of their individual uniqueness
- cooperation with parents in a spirit of partnership
- the intercultural opening
- Offers around the topic of children, upbringing, education are selected in such a way that they include the needs and the environment of the children (mothers, fathers, grandparents, the entire family with and without children, interested citizens of the city of Olpe).
Our development concept includes:

- regular development discussions with parents
- the organization of a healthy breakfast and a hot lunch

We are here for you
Many offers of our GFO family center are directed to all children, parents, single parents and interested persons of the city of Drolshagen.
As a family center, we are able to catch parents in need of advice or problems and, if necessary, refer them to our cooperation partners and then accompany the families.
Other forms of counseling: Parents of children attending our day care center can make appointments for counseling or informational talks with our pedagogical staff from the groups and the management at any time. For specific problems or therapeutic counseling, we are happy to establish contact with the appropriate institutions.
As employees of the family center, we inform all parents regularly about the developmental progress of their child. As a basis for this, a self-created observation procedure of the GFO, as well as the observations of the BasiK observation sheet are included.
Network support
Section 16 (Fn 5) of the KiBiz forms the basis of our family center, in that we have built up a network of the most diverse cooperation partners and employees. With the help of the network, we can develop target group-specific and individual offers for children, parents, families and interested parties. The focus is not only on the child or the family, but also "only" on the adult as an independent personality with his or her individual suggestions, such as special experiences that he or she would like to express, clarify unanswered questions, or make problem situations known.
